Every treatment below is provided by Dr. Naresh personally — consultation and follow-up at the Bowenpally clinic, and surgery, where needed, at an associated hospital with theatre and anaesthesia facilities.

The honest split

Which problems need surgery — and which don't

Most people who walk into this clinic never have an operation. Knowing which group you are in is the first thing we tell you.

Usually treated without surgery

  • Back pain, sciatica and most slipped discs
  • Frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, heel pain
  • Carpal tunnel in its early stages
  • Early knee and hip arthritis
  • Most children's fractures and leg-shape concerns
  • Sprains, strains and many sports injuries

Where surgery is usually the answer

  • Advanced knee or hip arthritis limiting daily life
  • Displaced or unstable fractures
  • Complete ACL tears in active people
  • Nerve compression with progressive weakness
  • Carpal tunnel with thumb weakness
  • Hip fractures in older adults — where early surgery is safer than bed rest
What to expect

Your first visit, step by step

Examination first

History and a hands-on examination. For most conditions on this page, that alone gives the diagnosis.

X-ray on site if it changes the plan

Taken at the clinic, so you get an answer in one visit rather than three. MRI or blood tests only when the result would alter treatment.

A written plan with an end date

Named exercises, medicines for a defined period, and a review point — not an open-ended prescription.

The same doctor at every follow-up

Dr. Naresh consults, operates and reviews you personally. You are not handed between doctors.

Bring with you: any X-rays, MRI films or scan reports you already have, your current medicines, and your insurance card if you have one.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about orthopaedic treatment

What treatments does an orthopaedic clinic provide?
An orthopaedic clinic diagnoses and treats problems of the bones, joints, muscles, ligaments and tendons. At Sharada Orthopaedic Centre this covers knee and hip replacement, spine care, arthroscopy and sports injuries, fracture and trauma care, children's orthopaedics, and general orthopaedic problems such as frozen shoulder, carpal tunnel and heel pain. Consultation, X-ray and non-surgical treatment happen at the clinic in Bowenpally; surgery is performed at an associated hospital.
Which doctor should I see for knee or back pain?
An orthopaedic doctor. Knee pain, back pain, joint pain, sports injuries and fractures are all orthopaedic problems, and the diagnosis is usually made by examination with an X-ray only when it changes the plan. If your problem turns out to need a rheumatologist, neurosurgeon or paediatric sub-specialist, a good orthopaedic surgeon will tell you at the first visit.
Do I need surgery for my problem?
Most likely not. The majority of patients seen at this clinic are treated without an operation — with a written exercise programme, medicines for a defined period, bracing or injections. Surgery is advised for advanced arthritis limiting daily life, unstable fractures, complete ligament tears, and nerve compression with progressive weakness. You are told which group you are in, and why, at the first consultation.
Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
Both work. Consulting hours are Monday to Saturday, 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM, and walk-in patients are seen. Calling or WhatsApping +91 91001 08108 in advance means less waiting, and lets us tell you what to bring — particularly useful if you already have X-rays or an MRI.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Any X-rays, MRI films and scan reports you already have, a list of your current medicines, previous prescriptions or discharge summaries, and your insurance card if you have one. If a child is being seen, bring their immunisation and growth records if available.
Is an X-ray done at the clinic?
Yes — X-rays are taken on site, so most patients get their diagnosis and treatment plan in a single visit rather than being sent elsewhere and asked to return. MRI, CT and DEXA scans are arranged at a diagnostic centre we refer you to, with treatment and follow-up continuing at the clinic.
Where is surgery performed?
Consultation, diagnosis, casting, injections and all follow-up happen at Sharada Orthopaedic Centre in Bowenpally. When an operation is needed, Dr. Naresh performs it at an associated hospital with full theatre and anaesthesia facilities, where cashless insurance is available for eligible policies — and he continues to see you personally for every post-operative review.
Is treatment covered by insurance?
Surgery is covered by most health-insurance policies subject to their terms, and cashless facility is available for eligible policies at the associated hospital; our team helps with the pre-authorisation paperwork. Clinic consultation, X-ray and casting are usually paid directly. You receive a written estimate covering surgeon, hospital and implants before any admission.
Do you treat children and elderly patients?
Yes — patients of every age, from children's fractures and walking concerns through to hip fractures, arthritis and osteoporosis in older adults. Children's conditions needing a paediatric sub-specialist, such as clubfoot or hip dysplasia, are identified and referred to the right hands, and we say so plainly.
How do I book an appointment?
Call or WhatsApp +91 91001 08108, or leave your number in the form on this page and our coordinator will call you back during clinic hours. Sharada Orthopaedic Centre is at Ganesh Nagar Colony, Bowenpally, Secunderabad, Telangana 500011, open Monday to Saturday, 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
